Do we have the correct keys and alarm codes?

Are the garbage/recycling bins ready for us to take out, if needed?

Do we have the correct contact information for your trip?

Do we have a current list of anyone who has access to your home?

THINGS TO DO

|
Make sure all windows and doors are locked.
|
|
|
Tell your security company that While You Were Out Pet Care will be entering your house while you are away. Make sure we know how to properly use your alarm system (including what to do in case of a false alarm).

|
|
If you live in a secured or gated area, please notify security that While You Were Out Pet Care will be entering your house while you are away.
|
|
|
Make sure your thermostat is set to ensure that your pets will be safe and comfortable, even if the weather changes while you are away.
|
|
|
Put away anything your pets might chew up, eat, or destroy. It is not uncommon for pets to get into things they usually leave alone when their people are away, so look around with a critical eye!
|
|
|
If there are areas of your house you want to keep your pets out of, please close those doors securely. We would greatly appreciate it if you would put a note on those doors so that we can make sure to keep your pets out of those areas.
|
|
|
Count heads before you leave. You’d be surprised how often a pet gets closed in a closet during the packing-and-leaving chaos!
